About Me

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Many little girls dream of becoming a dancer when young. I was one of them and did, as well as teaching in many areas of this art form. However I made the change to becoming a gym trainer and eventually a competitor in Figure. After being diagnosed with two interlinked "conditions" I pushed on to continue competing as sportsmodel, however wish to return to compete in figure. This blog is to show those who feel certain conditions in any area of their lives can be overcome to still reach their full potential and dreams. This blog is my journey to overcome obstacles and inspire others to do the same.

GREETINGS!!!!! 21052007

Hi all!

I am encouraged by the family of figure and fitness competitors that have found their way into the wide wide world of web, and the support system that surrounds them. Id really like to be a part of this family so that I can give some enouragement to those who live a similar lifestyle to myself.

I have had a cardio day for training and have just spoken with my trainer about getting redy forthe dieting down part of my first figure competition since 2000. It has taken me a short time to get used to eating real foods for snacks instead of shakes, which is how i prepared for the INBA sportsmodel comp in March this year and got awareded 1st. However that and the supplementation plan I have been placed on seems to have faired fairly well with my sensitive digestive system.

I am looking forward to surprising my husband on October 6th, which is the competition date for the INBA Victorian championships I am aiming to do figure in. as for now he still thinks I am just doing sportsmodel as a warm up for the Australians INBA Championships-for which I am already placed. By this time he may have already figured(excuse the pun) out that I am going beyond the look of sportsmodel-but ill try to keep it mum for as long as possible.

I have had my gstring designed and being made at this moment, and have already got my shoes and who I will be tanning with and having my hair done with. all I need now is for my posing music to be prepared by my pole dancing teacher and then I should be right!

I am very lucky to have my trainer (please see websites that inspire me) writing up my on and off season diet and training plan this time around as previously I have used my own gym and personal trainer experience to attempt to create my programs and diets. It is a real relief to hand the reigns over to someone as knowledgable as my trainer who is a world champion herself. (She also has had a similar background-ie being a dancer when young etc as myself so she is aware of the discipline I can harness especially when I have the support behind me.)
I am grateful that i have her to help me in these ways -even though we are doing this through as online method, as I believe in the past I have done too much cardio and dieted to hard.
I am really happy with the 5k i have put on in less than 7 weeks, when previously I have stayed around the same weight and quite lean. I am concerned that my bot bot and um tum may have its own postcode soon though-but I have been assured I should strip down in no time.

I am surprised it has taken me so long to get back into figure competing. i know that I have done sportsmodel as a cop out-not to say that those who dothis division dont work just as hard for their look. but i have always had a lack of confidence and only a few in the know people who are friends who support me. I decided to bite the bullet when a few judges and competitiors in the March ANB and INBA comps actually had the courage to come up to me and say that i should do figure and that I only need more mass. This had always been my dream and now I am over waiting for this dream to begin! O .V. A OVA!

Please feel free to write a post if you wish and let me know you are there:)
