About Me

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Many little girls dream of becoming a dancer when young. I was one of them and did, as well as teaching in many areas of this art form. However I made the change to becoming a gym trainer and eventually a competitor in Figure. After being diagnosed with two interlinked "conditions" I pushed on to continue competing as sportsmodel, however wish to return to compete in figure. This blog is to show those who feel certain conditions in any area of their lives can be overcome to still reach their full potential and dreams. This blog is my journey to overcome obstacles and inspire others to do the same.

doona day

Greetings,

this weekend i was scheduled to have the endoscopys but decided to put myself on the public waiting list. i have paid more than I wanted to for two operations last year-lets not even "go there" for the amount of moula spent on pre and post medications..and decided I didnt want to repeat history. I just hope the D day will be weeks AFTER my Oct 6 first figure comp.

On the weekend I spent most of my time chillin out with the kitty.
I went to gym and trained hard on the Saturday Back and Biceps. It was easier than usual because we didnt do much at pole dancing Friday night. Bit dissapointing really. I came home after gym and snuggled up to spend some quality time with the boy as we both have a cold. G if its not the flu or cold its something else in this time of year isnt it. I just keep thinking with my training to get out and start moving and you'll be right!

On sunday I did my cardio intervals on the xtrainer and abs but was at a bit of a loss as to how to schedule my meals on cardio day and if they should be different. I asked Josh but he said we had already covered it? Ill have to go back thru our communication and make sure. I did just do the same as i would on a weights day.

After church i actually went back to bed and only migrated with my dooner and kitty to the couch for the rest of the day. i did feel hungry on this new eating plan and a bit drained. but I really think it is due to the recent migraine, flu/cold, flare that I have had.
This morning I feel a bit better.

I have decided to keep with my previous program and just tweak it here and there. I usually go for volume training but have cut back the reps and sets and changed it so that I am training my lagging parts twice per week. I used to have bigger legs but they seem with less training to have become more sculptured! how does that work?!?!?

I have also decided to do the ANB figure comp rather than the INBA as I already have a chance at the aussies for sportsmodel. However they are going to canberra and ANB are going to sydney. So i have decided to try anb on oct 6 and then decided with the outcome of my placing which one i will do anb or inba.

I have come across yet another femme fatale, called daniela(aka gi jane). it is so refreshing to hear someone being so honest with how they feel about comps and training family and friends.
I really pray that she does well as she has her heart and soul into it as much as i do.(we all do).
the best advice i have ever been given is to not isolate yourself and to (as we are doing in blogs) connect yourself with those in the know of your sport to make sure you dont feel isolated or alone or like you are not normal. we are. we strive for something that betters us and that we can apply in all areas of our life. and it is not something to shun or be ashamed of. shame on those who try to make us feel bad with what we are doing just because of their own insecurties!

ok ill get off my high horse-and i have just been sprung by the boss-standing behind me and tapping his fingers-oppsy

After church
