About Me

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Many little girls dream of becoming a dancer when young. I was one of them and did, as well as teaching in many areas of this art form. However I made the change to becoming a gym trainer and eventually a competitor in Figure. After being diagnosed with two interlinked "conditions" I pushed on to continue competing as sportsmodel, however wish to return to compete in figure. This blog is to show those who feel certain conditions in any area of their lives can be overcome to still reach their full potential and dreams. This blog is my journey to overcome obstacles and inspire others to do the same.

turning over a new leaf

hi everyone-sorry for my absence. the last two weeks with prev trainer dumping me after me feeling like i was supporting them instedof visa versa really took its toll on me. it is not my fault that i have these two conditions and in no way do i expect anyone other than my self to "cure me" as there is no cure for them. i already know how i can work with and through rather against them. but it makes it all the harder when, you have an issue and those you expect to support you through the trials and tribulaions when it effects your sport, dont. i spent the whole queens birthday in bed. only to emerge to eat train and see my hubby when he came home from work. no i didnt even pratice my posing or go to class, even though i had the whole friday off as an ADO.

I did go to the specialist (GI) who said that my liver had repaired itself(they thought i mayhave liver disease due to uc last year this time) and my urea readings were up-in laymans terms it just means that my body isnt always chewing up the protein so i need to make sure i am eating things in a timely manner to help it absorb s much as it can-i eat so much protein and people think im joking when they see my blood tests. I have been put on the waiting list for an endoscopy due to flare and these results but will be fine to keep on keeping on with training and diet etc. my Gi is very good and she knows exactly what and why I do things.(training and eting wise):)

Some may think that the weekend moping was a waste of time. But i dont. I needed some time to sit back relax and process the emotions I felt and find a way to project them into positive action. Yes the issues above did cause some flare ups and a migraine which has not completely gone. at one stage i was in bed with a cold ice pack on my head and a hot wheat pack on the back of my neck. Disprin forte was not doing anything, and i had already started to have aversions to green foods, whey shakes and fish. When this happens i KNOW im flaring! (think of IBS and PMS x a billion!). yep-that bad.

I did however have hope as 2 special people here put me in touch with a guy called josh dickinson from physique essentials. I have now replaced my prev trainers details with Joshs!

info@physique-essentials.com

we have come to an agreements that he will suggest what he thinks of my programs(that I create) and he will create my food plan. i like his attitude as it is very similar to mine-every day is a day towards the comp day. there is not an off or on season and the 12 week diet thing just puts pressure on people.

we have been conversing about supps nutrition and training and i am so happy that he is going to allow me to do 30 min cardio on my xtrainer each day YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am not sure why but timmy my hubby keeps calling him Rick. I may have mentioned before but timmy is very good with his knowledge of supplements and he gives me advice on this and i write up timmys progs. tim sounds like he is Rick opps sorry josh-Josh's twin brother.I will add some picks of timmy and me in my friends/family space when i have time:)

i am very excited about creating my own program to see me thru the next 15 weeks pre comp:)

and my gstring lady confirmed shell post me my green g soon!

anyway itd be nice to hear from the cast(bloggers) on how yall are going:)
